How exciting! Just 6 months ago your dad and I were going to the hospital today so I could give birth to you and we could find out if you were a girl or a boy! Well, God totally knew what we needed and he gave us a very sweet and contented baby girl! These past 6 months have been AMAZING!
Here are some of your accomplishments from this past month:
-Grown. 15.5 lbs. and 25 inches
-you are really good at making the raspberry sound with your lips
-your daddy loves to give you a mow hawk
-you are an accomplished roller - from belly to back and back to belly
-you sat in the shopping cart with your cart cover while Mommy shopped at Wal-mart
-you have great knee cleavage!! We love it!
-you love to stick your tongue out and roll it up towards your nose! too cute!
-Barber "J" (aka Daddy) gave you your first haircut! No more mullet! yeah!
-you are eating cereal now and love it! You can swallow it really well and are a clean eater!
-Mommy calls you Angel alot. I hope you still know your name is Emily.
-We went to Chattanooga for the 4th of July to see your great-grandparents.
-you think Daddy's family dog, Pete, is really funny. He makes you giggle.
-we started you on a 4 hour schedule this month. You eat at 8a, 12n, 4p, and 8p.
-you are still sleeping through the night from 8:30p-7:30a very consistently.
-we felt inside your mouth and your cheeks are just as think as they are fat. too cute!
-sometime you blow raspberries in daddy's face when he is singing too you. for some reason I think that is funny?!?!?
-Mommy was gone to the beach from Friday - Sunday and you hung out with Daddy the whole weekend. Ya'll had lots of fun - swimming, playing, eating, watching golf, sleeping, etc.
-I have started carrying you on my hips alot and you are holding on so far.
-2 people at Daddy's work think you are starting to look like Mommy...we will see!
-you went to Callaway Gardens for the first time. We hope to go back for many years to come!
-you rode on the back of Daddy's bike! too cute with your helmet and so low on the back of the bike you had to look at his butt or the ground the whole time. so sorry!
-we went to the Butterfly Center and the Circus while at Callaway!
-you have been practicing using a sippy cup in the bathtub and you have got it down!
-sometime you roll on your belly while in your swaddle for your nap and you sleep great (up to 2 hours)
-you have also learned your gag reflex. this week you didn't want your cereal and you threw up all the milk that mommy had just nursed you. so VERY sad!
-you had your first low grade fever - maybe from your shots the day before or teething. who knows. (no more teeth since the 2 you got at 4 months old.)
WOW, life is great! The past 6 months have been such a joy and blessing to have you in our home Emmie. We look forward to making more memories with you the next month!
